agroforestry Planning & Design

We are passionate about advancing agroforestry across the Pacific Northwest. Resilience Permaculture provides planning, design, and project management for agroforestry systems including silvopasture, forest gardens, riparian forest buffers, alley crops, windbreaks, and hedgerows.

Agroforestry systems integrated into a whole-farm context can incorporate water earthworks, increase the productivity and well-being of livestock and their pastures, increase wildlife habitat and connectivity, increase climate mitigation and adaptation, and diversify yields from farms and forests.

Project Management

We work with state agencies and other groups to access funds to plan and implement agroforestry practices in the Pacific Northwest.

We can help advise on the forestry, fencing, water installations, and other project components that lead to successful agroforestry systems.

About Agroforestry

Agroforestry is the intentional integration of trees and shrubs into crop and animal production systems. It presents an opportunity to increase food and other resource production on working landscapes while reintegrating ecosystem services and habitat. Agroforestry also offers a way to sequester significant amounts of carbon into soils and trees through agroecological practices. And it has the potential to revitalize and support indigenous agroecosystems which have utilized agroforestry practices for time immemorial in our region.
